Liturgical Enviroment Ministry

Introduction

It is important that the place where the Church gathers for worship be kept clean and tidy, fit for its purpose. The church should be decorated appropriate to the mysteries of salvation celebrated through the unfolding of the liturgical year. There is great value in decorating the Church, particularly for Sundays and other principal Feasts.

The Ministry

The Liturgical Environment   Ministry is called to serve the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa  in preparing the environment for worship conducive for prayer and encounter with the Lord. The members strive to enhance an ambiance of tranquility and beauty of the church through their talents in flower arrangement and gardening.

How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord!

We usually gather every Saturday around 9 o’clock in the morning right outside of the Sacristy to arrange flowers. We always see to it that we have enough flowers, foliage and ornamentals to beautify the church.

We are responsible for the decoration  for liturgical celebrations such as Advent , Christmas, Lent, Easter , etc. as well as episcopal celebrations done in our parish.

We also grow ornamental plants for the church.
